The Quays and Quayside

The Quays and Quayside developments were among the pioneering residential projects that helped establish Durban’s Point Waterfront as one of South Africa’s most exciting mixed use urban regeneration precincts. Positioned adjacent to the proposed Small Craft Harbour, the developments offered luxury waterfront living within a rapidly transforming coastal destination. The first phase, The Quays, comprised 40 luxury apartments and was successfully completed with purchaser occupation achieved in June 2006. Building on this success, Quayside, comprising a further 75 luxury apartments, commenced in overlap with The Quays and was completed in June 2007, creating a combined residential offering of 115 upscale apartments within the precinct. Key Projects was appointed to provide full Project Management and Principal Agent Services for both developments, overseeing the planning, design coordination and construction delivery of these landmark residential projects. Through careful management of consultants, contractors and stakeholders, the developments were delivered to a high standard of quality, helping to unlock the potential of the Point Waterfront and attract further investment into the area. Today, The Quays and Quayside remain significant components of Durban’s waterfront regeneration story, contributing to the creation of a vibrant residential community and reinforcing the Point Waterfront’s position as a premier coastal living destination.
